In an attempt to gain more visibility for the abduction of Ukrainian children and support for the Return Abducted Ukrainian Children Resolution (H.Res.564), we had the opportunity to help install and put together an installation of teddy bears on the National Mall. An event hosted by Razom for Ukraine. With 20,000 teddy bears, each representing one of the children abducted from Ukraine, hung up showing the words, “Putin abducted 20,000 Ukrainian Children,” “Bring Kids Back.” A powerful message seen by hundreds in Washington, D.C., with senators and congresspeople like Amy Klobuchar, Michael McCaul, and others coming out to the press conference to speak on the issue. Not to mention the numerous volunteers from all over the nation coming together to get this installation seen and reported on.
Below I’ll have linked some more news sources if you’re interested in hearing more on this event or how to bring the installation to your city.
I met with constituents in D.C. this week for the American Coalition for Ukraine's summit, and their message was clear: America cannot walk away from this.
While Trump eases sanctions on Russia, Ukraine is still fighting for its survival. This is not a moment for Washington… pic.twitter.com/JG1YOeTvRd
